Assignment:
Chose One Decade from the 1900’s-1980 based upon your standing in the Vocabulary Competition.

This paper will be broken into three different sections for submission:

Submission One: Introduction, Literature and Major authors of the decade
Submission Two: Examination of Decade
Topics for Research:
Fashion
Dance
Business
Politics
Music
Technology
Industry
War
Hollywood
Sports
TV/Radio
Architecture
Other topics of interest are an option with special approval


Submission Three: Comparative Analysis of this time period with current American issues

Each section will also contain a focus for writing:
Submission One: Run-ons and eliminating all sentences that say nothing
Submission Two: Comma usage and lead-ins
Submission Three: Style and eliminating passive verbs.

Feb 9th- Outlining and Note taking

First Submission
Feb 10th- Research in Lab
Feb 10th-12th- Research on your own
Feb 16th- Writing in Lab
Feb 18th- Writing in Lab
Feb 19th- Proofreading in Class
Feb 20th- Revising in Lab
Feb 23rd- First Submission Due

Second Submission (during this submission we will be using the laptop cart. Due to the number of computers on the cart, we will be divided into two groups that will rotate between working with the carts and working on Exit Exam Reviews, Realism, or writing time.)
Feb 23rd- Research-Each Group ½ period
Feb 25th- Research/Writing
Feb 27th- Research/Writing
March 2nd- Writing
March 4th-Writing
March 6th-Writing Group 1
March 9th- Writing Group 2
March 10th-proofreading
March 11th-Revising Group 1
March 13th Revising Group 2
March 16th- Final revision (first submission with revisions must be submitted)

Third Submission (MUST USE ONE PHYSICAL BOOK IN THIS SECTION)
